Today the Nordex Group announces the launch of a turbine specifically tailored to the requirements of the American market. The N169/5.X is a turbine variant with an optimized capacity factor for US project conditions, designed to significantly increase yield in pure grid constrained projects. The N169/5.X has a rotor diameter of 169 meters and a power rating up to 5.5 megawatts. As common with Nordex turbines there will be a range of US optimized towers available. While the Nordex Group regularly opens its doors to inspire young talent for STEM careers, the contributions of our colleagues in corporate business functions play an equally important role in driving the energy transition. We were therefore delighted to welcome students and professors from the NBS Northern Business School to our head offices in Hamburg this week to discuss corporate security management. During the "Meet the Experts" session, #TeamNordex from the corporate functions of Security, Real Estate Management, Compliance, Risk Management, Occupational Safety, Information Security and People & Culture offered a broad interdisciplinary agenda and provided interesting perspectives on the question "What interfaces exist within an organization with regard to security management?". Students took advantage of the opportunity to make direct contact with the business world and see their theoretical knowledge put into practice. At the Nordex Group, we are excited by the speed with which the new UK Government is moving in its commitment to the nation’s ambitious #NetZero targets. Just a week after the Chancellor lifted the ban on onshore wind projects in England, the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero has announced the formation of a joint government-industry taskforce whose aim is to help speed up the deployment of onshore wind; this will help to cut energy bills and increase the UK’s energy independence and security. The Onshore Wind Industry Taskforce will work not only to identify barriers and hurdles to onshore projects, but will foster more prominent solutions for onshore wind in the region. Triathlon fever has gripped #TeamNordex at the company cup of the World Triathlon Championship Series 2024! Last weekend, 38 colleagues from the Nordex Group took part in the world's largest triathlon in Hamburg, Germany. With 4 relay teams and 26 individual starters in the sprint distance, which covered an over 500 metre swim, 20 km cycle distance, and a 5 km run, the Nordex Group was proudly represented by the "Nordex Turbines". Despite challenging wind conditions, our colleagues proved their aerodynamics and achieved an impressive 4th place out of 97 in the individual company ranking. We would like to thank all of the Nordex athletes for their participation and outstanding achievements. They exemplified Nordex' team spirit and embodied our core value of colleagueship in the face of tough competition. A special shout-out goes to our colleagues Karoline Marquardt and Anika König for their dedication in planning the event and to Sergio Lopez for designing the sportswear. #nxgsocialactivities #greatplacetowork #NordexGroup

Over the past two weeks, #TeamNordexSpain has been celebrating Environment Days at our local offices, with a special focus on SDG 12 "Sustainable Consumption and Production Patterns" in the fashion industry. We were thrilled to have Juana Fernández, PhD in Chemical Engineering and expert in Sustainability and Environment, give a presentation on "The environmental impact of the textile industry." During the presentation, our #TeamNordex colleagues were offered a valuable insight into the environmental and social challenges of the fashion industry, the fiber manufacturing process, and the importance of responsible consumption and circularity. To put learning into action, local colleagues participated in a collection campaign for used clothing in collaboration with Traperos de Emaús in Navarra, and Humana in Madrid, Spain. Both NGOs promote reuse and recycle practices and advocate for environmental protection, as well as creating employment opportunities for people in situations of social exclusion. The two organizations also carry out humanitarian aid projects in developing countries. Thank you to everyone who took part in this great initiative. #TogetherForChange #NordexGroup

The safety of all #TeamNordex, all partners and suppliers around the world is a clear priority at the Nordex Group. Following the role out of our new global  corporate HSE campaign Safety Together, the Nordex France & Mediterranean region has launched an additional regional “Safety Week” to further strengthen the view of safety as a collective responsibility for everyone. Aiming to contribute to the continuous improvement of the Nordex Group’s safety culture, all managers visited local Service Points and scheduled daily talks with their teams, alongside initiating additional safety walks. Various important HSE topics relevant to staying safe on site, safe travel, and safety in the office, were addressed. The activities were accompanied by a HSE poster design competition, and with 52 entries submitted by our creative colleagues, the clear commitment to the “Safety Together” approach was clear to see.
