Description

Hello WordPress team,

I recently started noticing some issues from search engine consoles that my sitemap located at /wp-sitemap.xml has some date and time errors and showing invalid last modified date format.

When I checked the sitemap by my own, the homepage URL was showing plain date and time (like - 2021-02-18 09:21:07) while the rest of the pages having valid date structure (like - 2021-02-18T16:03+00:00).

Please look into the issue and fix them asap because this issue causes instability in search engine index.

Hi @atulhost,

core XML sitemaps have entries without dates (AFAIK this is for performance reasons) - how exactly are you enabling dates to be included in core XML sitemaps on your website?
