Description
I created a page- "about founder" under parent page "About US" ( version 5.1.1)
It does not automatically appear in sub menu of "About US" page in main menu
nor I am allowed to edit the menu from appearances-menu tab of the dashboard to show the page under "About US". I am only allowed to put it under Gallery ;)
Expected behavior: When a new page is created under a parent page and it is published, it should appear in submenu of the parent page. When we hover over the parent page title, submenu should show up and allow clicking on items in submenu to open relevant page.
The dashboard of wordpress is pretty illogical and primitive. It needs immidiate action to improve the dashboard.
It sucks !!!

Hello @anu24 and thanks for raising that,
This is the expected behavior: not every users want to automatically add child-pages as sub-menu items.
Maybe we can add an option (checkbox) to automatically add sub-menu pages but I'm not sure about that. Maybe it's more plugin's territory.

While I appreciate your passion for this report, @anu24, I agree with @audrasjb that this is not a default behavior we should add. Thank you for this report!
