Excellent Customer Service

This compay provides an excellent customer service.

They called me about my web order just to be sure I was buying the right thing. WOW!

Delivery was a breeze, I have recieved exactly what I was ordered and very well packed.

Websites are one thing but people make the difference.

The website was good to get information on what I was looking for. The phone call I made to them was far more helpful, with unexpectedly (in this day and age) thorough service. I somewhat knew what i was looking for in a Toughbook and was helped along in a very professional way. Professional and not overly formal just like me. Being a Canadian site I didn't have to jump through hoops to get what I wanted to me.

Laptop was not properly configured with…

Laptop was not properly configured with correct 1TB SSD. when tech remote into it the system error out. They had to send me a bootable key to re image the laptop, whi h currently i am still waiting on.
-buying a new product shouldn't be or need to be configure by the customer buying a expensive product should be plug and play.
-so I suggest that the company should test the product before shipping them to the Customer, or the customer pays the price of waiting and frustration to a corrupt laptop that cant be use.
-company just need to take ownership instead of trying to make themselves look good on answering my complaint.

Let's first address the 1TB issue. It seems there was a glitch during the processing of the 1TB into the unit, causing the display to incorrectly show 512GB instead of 1TB. Although it is a 1TB it just appears to be 512GB. While this occurrence is rare, we acknowledge it can happen.

Also, we sent a recovery USB to fix the issue. In which our team will be able to help you out step-by-step. You should receive the USB today (Jan 2). According to the shipping carrier.

I know the end of the year can be quick paced, but just a reminder that shipping companies do delay their shipping because of the holidays.

Look out for the USB and give us a call when you need assistances.

Great customer support and fast shipping!

I had a question about the batteries and accessories being compatible with the new MK3 Toughbook FZ-55. The support team replied to my email in less than an hour and said the descriptions weren't updated to include the new MK3 model. The next day I looked at the website again and they had already updated the product pages. Ordered the laptop and an extra battery on a Saturday, received a shipping conformation on Monday morning (which is when I realized Rugged Books was in Canada) and it was delivered on Tuesday! Great purchasing experience!

Quick and uncomplicated

Quick and uncomplicated

The order arrived sooner than expected (maybe because I am located in Ontario), was easy to track, and was carefully packaged without unnecessary wrapping. Everything in good working order. This is my third order from the company, and I am entirely satisfied with the experience.

A+ Business

Prior to ordering I spoke to a helpful Rugged books employee. A+, courteous and helpful, saving us a significant amount.

A few days later we received a Panasonic Toughbook in "Like New" condition. Very few blemishes. The machine works as expected. All we had to do was DL the Sierra Wireless utility so that the wireless modem would communicate. Painless.

The staff took the time to understand what I wanted and gave me more!

The staff was really friendly and went over and above to supply me with the best (actually better) model of Toughbook at a better price than the other companies I was looking at. The laptop that I received from them was an extremely low hour model that looked brand new without the brand new price. I actually received it in two days from the order. I am extremely happy with this purchase experience!

Immediate phone response to an Email…

Immediate phone response to an Email requesting support. Quick diagnosis that required shipping for repair. A second phone call one hour after the laptop arrived with repair estimates. Total down time was 3 days (two in shipping). Best service out there.

I ordered a Dell 7202

I ordered a Dell 7202. It was refurbished but when it arrived it looked brand new. I was very impressed. I was considering ordering one from Amazon but the reviews weren’t good so I chose Rugged Books and I’m glad I did. If I need another tablet or laptop I will definitely be ordering from them again.

When I reached out for assistance on selecting the Wryghte equipment, Naz was excellent in asking the right questions so we can understand the needs of our organization. As it turns out, I had ordered a one laptop for trial, and he indicated that that would not serve as well. a more reliable, less expensive option that would fit our needs
Best of all, he dropped off an initial sample of that proposed item that same day. we received the paperwork to ship the other laptop back, and when we placed in order for five of the Wryghte devices, it got shipped quickly.

The correct part was easy to find

The correct part was easy to find. After I placed the order, I received a call from someone from Rugged Books verifying that the item I order was the one I actually needed. Once we verified the item was correct, shipment and delivery was prompt and the item arrived in perfect condition and work properly. I will use Rugged Books again when I need items for our ToughBooks.

Excellent Business

Great service, shipping, and products. I ordered a Toughbook 55 and it came just two days despite only choosing the standard shipping option. I had a question and Bob from the Sales Team answered it quickly and clearly. The packaging was very delicate and secure with no physical damage to the laptop. The laptop iteself is running well from what I can see in the last 5 minutes it's been open. Great business, people, and product!

My experience with a CF-31 MK5

Ordered a CF-31 MK5, and received it quickly which was very nice. However upon receiving this laptop, it was unfortunate that there was some oversights that were either missed, or just not attended to.

First, the 'L' key was sticking quite a bit. I'm not talking about a sticking where it just bothered my OCD, but rather a sticking that was intense enough to trigger the 'L' key being spammed 5-6 times in typing, until it popped back up. So I had to pull that off and clean it myself with rubbing alcohol to get the gunk out of it. Now it's fine.

Second, the cooling fan inside the computer is sounding like its bearing is on its way out, as it's making a noisy rumble when it kicks on. So I've already had to order a replacement one to catch this issue before I get a potential failing cpu cooler. $20 replacement off Ebay, so nothing too crazy to fix.

I get having a company like this they have tons of computers they likely go through, and it's not like the computer is broken, but small things like this would be nice to not have to worry about as a consumer. Especially since both issues I noted appeared within the first 15mins of powering on the machine for the first time.

All this is to say, if you order a laptop from here, expect that it'll overall function, but that you may have to do some follow up home-repairs on it for small things. But I'd say overall I think this will be a great computer for the purpose I ordered it for.
