I use Firefox version: 116.0.2 or 117.0 on Ubuntu 20.04.6 LTS

  1. Login to the application
  2. Operate on the screen

Session storage memory was lost though the tab was not closed

Expected results:

Session storage memory is not lost

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Firefox::Session Restore' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

Component: Untriaged → Session Restore

Moving this here as it seems like it might be an issue with BFcache affecting session store?

Component: Session Restore → DOM: Navigation
Product: Firefox → Core

Thanks for reporting this issue! Have you observed the same problem in the latest release, 125.0.2, as well?

Hi Edgar Chen,

Currently, I don't have the same problem in the latest release v125.0.2.
However some of my customers are still using my application on old versions, so I want to find the main cause of this error or confirm that if I upgrade to the latest version (v125.0.2), it will not have the same problem as above.

Please confirm for me.
Thank you so much!

(move to Storage: localStorage & sessionStorage, people there might have some idea)

Component: DOM: Navigation → Storage: localStorage & sessionStorage

This is very hard for us to triage, since there isn't any explicit url to test this.
Perhaps you could try to use https://mozilla.github.io/mozregression/ to find when this got fixed?
