After you have beaten the ender dragon, you can get the experience and the dragon egg. Then you can either go to the outer end section or leave the end with the exit portal. Upon entering the exit portal, the credits will play, and all your effects, such as strength or slow falling will be removed. It happens no matter you've skipped or didn't skip the credits.
