Yesterday, I had the pleasure of being invited by Le Wagon Belgium to share some tips and tricks on how to make the transition from a business background to the tech industry 👨‍💻 As a former recruiter who has made the transition to the tech industry myself, I have a real understanding of the unique challenges of this journey. 🔍 3 Key insights I shared: 1. Educate yourself and apply your knowledge: Continuous learning is key, but putting your knowledge into practice and getting your hands dirty is even better. 2. Understand the hiring process: Understanding how the hiring process works makes it easier to navigate. 3. Build an ATS-Proof Resume: Create a strong resume that will pass through applicant tracking systems (ATS). Use relevant keywords and a clean format to ensure your resume gets noticed. Transitioning from a business background to the tech industry can be more challenging than it seems, but with the right approach, it's entirely achievable 🚀 ! However, what caught my attention was the change in the preference for flexibility compared to previous years. After attending Power BI Gebruikersgroep's event last month (Power BI User Days), I decided to put my new Power BI skills in practice with one of Maven Analytics' challenges. This challenge was about creating an interactive sales dashboard for a fictional computer hardware firm. You can see my submission via https://lnkd.in/eWU8YNBb. I think building something from scratch (PQ, Model, DAX, Design) was quite educational, and I was able to use some (new) features that I hadn't used before, like: - field parameters - the new slicer visual - a new trick from SQLBI (the line visual legend + the 'comparison' line) - several tricks from a deep dive in report design, including building report backgrounds in Figma and applying UI/UX and report design principles It was much fun 😀 and very educational to build! #mavensaleschallenge #PowerBI

Only together can you make a difference, we are working hard to unearth synergies in capabilities and interests within the Dutch, and further afield, ecosystems to accelerate aviation to be sustainable, as well as develop new business models for our clients. Two great examples are mentioned by Michel: 1) from the aircraft and systems manufacturing side the creation of Conscious Aerospace and the HAPSS Powertrain and Storage Systems and 2) for the airport and hydrogen supply side the development of The DutcH2 Aviation Hub together with Rotterdam the Hague Innovation Airport and Rotterdam The Hague Airport.

May 3, 2024   Today (May 3, 2024) a whole new world opened for me 🌍   Until yesterday, I used my favourite Power BI specialists such as SQLBI, Curbal, Guy in a Cube and Bas Dohmen to gain Power BI knowledge and look for answers. They helped me through my entire career. For general questions and generating images I used ChatGPT.   Today I was pointed to the website "copilot.microsoft.com". An AI tool that combines all the knowledge of these different experts and based on my question about Power BI gives me the best answer, with reference to more experts. It can even generate DALL.E3 images.   It is comprehensive, efficient, and very knowledgeable. I'm an absolute fan! Does this mean I will stop learning from my favourite experts and only use CoPilot? Definitely not. I love the knowledge and creativity they show. CoPilot will just be really nice addition to my beacon of knowledge.   Disclaimer: AI remains AI.
