    Unlocking the Mobile Gaming Vault: Roblox's remarkable success continues to soar! With an impressive $7 billion in player spending on iOS and Android, it's a force to be reckoned with. Digging into the data reveals an astounding $4.2 billion in in-app purchases, showcasing the platform's financial prowess. The US leads the charge, contributing 58% of mobile revenue, trailed by the UK, Canada, South Korea, and Australia. Globally, Roblox boasts a massive 995 million downloads, with the US securing a 20% share, followed by Brazil, Mexico, Indonesia, and Russia. These numbers only scratch the surface! The platform's total earnings, including PC and consoles, are even higher, reaching $2.2 billion in 2022. Despite a 13% YoY dip in IAP revenue, Roblox emerges as the top free-to-play mobile game in 2023, with 190 million downloads year-to-date. It's also the fifth highest-grossing title, raking in over $753 million, trailing behind industry giants like Candy Crush Saga and Genshin Impact.

    Nintendo's financial report for the first half of FY24, which concluded on September 30, is nothing short of impressive. Their revenue reached a staggering $5.3 billion, showcasing a remarkable 21.2% YoY increase. What's even more astounding is the operating profit, which surged by 27% to reach $1.86 billion during the same period. One of the key drivers of this success has been ‘Tears of the Kingdom’, a game that has significantly boosted Nintendo Switch sales. In the first half of FY24, Nintendo sold 6.84 million units of the Nintendo Switch, a 2.4% YoY increase. Notably, 4.69 million of these units were the OLED model. With these figures, Nintendo's Nintendo Switch has firmly established itself as the third best-selling console of all time, boasting a lifetime sales total of 132.46 million units. Digital sales played a vital role, growing by 15.8% year-over-year, now accounting for 50.2% of total software sales. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, in particular, stood out as a global hit, reaching 19.5 million copies sold, making it the 9th best-selling game for Nintendo Switch. In addition to Tears of the Kingdom, other best-selling titles in the first half of FY24 included Mario Kart Deluxe (3.22 million), Pikmin 4 (2.61 million), and Super Smash Bros. They've officially acquired System Era Softworks in a groundbreaking M&A deal, expanding their horizons beyond premium indie titles. System Era's expertise in expandable games and live ops technology will be a valuable addition. The initial consideration for the System Era acquisition is $22 million, and the total value of the deal could reach up to $40 million through a combination of cash and shares. Astroneer, System Era's sandbox space adventure game, is the star of the show. With over 13 million players and a lifetime revenue of $87 million, it's a prized gem in Devolver's portfolio. Financially, System Era is no slouch, with $7 million in revenue and an EBITDA of $3.8 million in the preceding 12 months. This acquisition marks Devolver Digital's seventh studio addition, joining the ranks of Croteam, Good Shepherd Entertainment, FireFly Studios, Nerial, Dodge Roll, and Doinksoft.
