Hi, I'm on 1.11.2 latest version, and I am not able to pick up my pet hamster. I have tamed it and fed it until its cheeks were full, but am still unable to interact with it other than to tie it to a post (I can't even tell it to sit)
Sorry for not being active on the forum were doing mostly all of the talking and progress on discord but anyways here is some progress. We are trying to get a beta release by Halloween
Unfortunately, I'm a pretty new player, and I'm already on 1.12 because I didn't know any better. I'm pretty locked in.
I will join your Patreon if you can get a module for the livestock out for 1.12. Probably not the deciding factor. I can't exactly jump in for a unit of $100 anything. But totally think this is a pay quality mod. From what I can see in issue tracking, it's being implemented really well too.
But it does bring up another point for me. Have you considered modularizing? The overhaul of existing Minecraft animals is a pretty distinct project from adding completely fresh species, and it seems like the new species could probably be broken out by pets (hamsters) vs. wildlife (peacocks) or some other criterion. Releasing a suite of mods rather than a single monolith, even a monolith with some advanced config to turn on and off features, has a lot of advantages.
Also the plea for more features -- sheep sheep sheep! They need a visual overhaul something fierce, and they're the only livestock animal that looks undone. I have a deep spiritual need for sheep with ears and rams horns.
I agree. It would make the world look much more... animania-y, for lack of a better word. Looking forward to coming updates!
A player takes his pigs to the forest, how long until the find the first truffle?
The main post says that it may take a while, be patient. I'm sorry I can't be more specific; I haven't actually found a forest in my world to try it with, yet! If I do, though, I'll post the time here that it takes (approximately)

Uh- is it only me who can't access/craft the hamster wheel, or are they as of yet unimplemented?
Thanks.

Nope.

To force tame a dragon (with commands) I believe you just type "/tame" (without the speech marks) into text (default key is t)
Hope that helped!
Myst.

Hedgehog Behaviors:[/i]
I do agree about the model, though. It'd make it so much easier to see whether they are sitting or standing!
