Oh, 100. I didn't catch that.
If I lower elite and ultra and only allow infernal mobs to spawn with a spawn rate of 1, I get this crash:

is possible to edit the mobs effect, instead of the swirly effect from potions and use that one from the lava or other particles? Same goes for what the mobs drop.
That error means your "bound" aka setting is smaller than or equal to 0. Are you sure you set it to 1, and not -1
I'm sure, I double-checked.
I decided to generate a new config file with the same settings as I was using and now everything is working just fine, all levels of infernal mobs are finally spawning now. I even kept the old one to compare and make sure both files are identical. I'm not sure what happened, but everything appears to be fine now.
You havent read all the available information. Rares can generate from normal spawns. The other types can only generate from their previous infernal types. Rare -> Ultra -> Infernal. You get much more rare ones because the odds for the others are already split by rare ones. If you want a "similar" amount of rares, ultras and infernals you need to set the latter two to 1, and control total amount with the rare setting. This was explained by me before.
And no changes to the drops are possible by config.
My MC version is 1.7.10. My Forge version is 10.13.3.1395-1710ls.
I downloaded the mod here: http://atomicstryker.net/infernalmobs.php (1.7.10) and just drop it into /mods folder. I opened the game and nothing happened. NEI can't see Infernal Mobs. Well, I declare.
This what it looks like. The first entry of each loot line doesnt work, it's correctly named and metadata is correct for each lootbag. Note the bags do not stack. Could this be an issue?
The second entries (Tconstruct) correctly drop. However they drop an equal amount to their meta data.
Elite mobs drop 2x heartCanister with metadata 2. (itemname=TConstruct:heartCanister:2)
Ultra mobs drop 4x heartCanister with metadata 4 (itemname=TConstruct:heartCanister:4)
Infernal mobs drop 6x heartCanister with metadata 6! (itemname=TConstruct:heartCanister:3)
TConstruct:heartCanister:2
I've read the entire thread twice and the past few pages even more where people posted examples of how to write it. Either I'm missing something really simple or it doesn't work with later versions of forge and/or other mods? Is there anyway to find out what is causing it?
because it have format: thing - range_start_number - range_end_number

In the config, why can't I configure mod items to be drops? You would think that would make sense, but since you don't force the minecraft:thing, I can't seem to configure other items such as EnderIO:itemMaterial:5 or something like that or ore:foodBlt why?
I have a whole list of mob items I want dropped but for some reason, only vanilla items are actually spawning.
http://pastebin.com/QrDqRrvQ << Is the part of my config with drops. Am I formatting it improperly? gedit has weird indention but I wasn't sure if that even mattered.
I'm just getting the name using /mt hand from itemtweaker
I've even tried changing it to: EnderIO:itemMaterial-5-1-1 (metadata 5 with 1 dropping, yes?)
If you are unsure about correct item IDs, open up your FML logfile, it has a list of all registered items with the correct untranslated names
/mt hand properly gets the name of all items for vanilla, so I would assume its return is also accurate for modded items. Unfortunately, I'm still entirely unable to get them to drop at all even with proper syntax. This seems to be a common and recurring problem from more than just me.
EnderIO:itemMaterial-5 should return one of that item with the meta 5, yes? It will not drop, ever.

Its common and recurring because people cannot seem to follow instructions. I just checked against some of my mod items:
Worked just fine. SO. Use the damn log, put it online, also put your resulting config online, and i will tell you if its obviously wrong.
Ok, so I am using vanilla items and they are dropping with weird metadatas. What am I doing wrong with my notation? In the config if I put: redstone-2-4, instead of redstone dust with possibility of 2-4 drops, it will sometimes drop redstone:2 or redstone:4 with weird metadata. That may be what's happening in terms of why the item I wanted wasn't showing up. Should I be doing: redstone-0-2-4 for metadata 0 (the original) and 2-4 of them for variance? Here's what I just added the 0's in front. Am I doing it properly?
redstone-2-4 would be metadata 2, stacksize 4. So, not what you wanted. You should be doing redstone-0-2-2 for meta 0, guaranteed 2 drops, and randomized up to 2 additions (so 4 total).

Ok, I'll note this and try one more time to include modded items and poke you with logs and stuff if it doesn't work. Also, are there different InfMob abilities between teleportations? Sometimes they teleport behind you, other times, the teleportation ability always teleports them into the ground where they suffocate to death and I think that's silly. What's the name of the non-behind you teleport so I can disable it?
Awesome mod!
I've got the same problem, definitely a bug.
Setting it to 100 aka "1 out of 100" is a 1% chance not a 100% chance.
The correct setting is 1.
