ok.. i cant climb the following. vanilla vines and BTWs rope.. clearly there's something wrong with my setting... a bumps up would be nice guys. :sad.gif:

I installed the most recent version, and since I often play on SMP servers, I used the one that required Flan's player API and modloader. At the time I also had SPC installed(With the patch), Koda's Clay soldier mod, and spawner GUI. The player wearing the cape got the cape because they are going to minecon.
This signature is under construction. Expected completion time: December 22nd, 2012, when the world hasn't ended(So it can mock those who thought the world was going to end).
Released version 4.7 of this mod - Added support for Better than Wolves ropes and anchors, disabled sprinting exhaustion without movement for climbing, disabled sprinting for ceiling climbing during horizontal collisions, disabled sprinting for flying during collisions.
Thanks to NightSpawn for trying to smart climb along Better than Wolves ropes.

Hmm this is odd, I'm getting a fairly common null pointer exception when jumping and moving around all my redpower plates, tubes and wiring as well as when I'm trying to jump over my fence gates with a modified collision box like what is hopefully coming with 1.9. Problem is that I just can't seem to re-produce the crash in a new world, which makes it kinda hard to report

Only started happening when I updated from 4.6 to 4.7

For now I have reverted back to 4.6 and not getting any crashes
Also anchors with ropes work fine in the same world on 4.7

Copied a schematic of the area, it crashes in a new world. if you want I can send you the mcedit schematic of the problem area as well as which mods with which ids is in it

Found 1 easily reproducible way to trigger it, Grow flax from redpower and attemp to climb while next to it, it was the reason why I crashed with my fence gate as I had flax behind it.

Ok now I have been able to reproduce with with a lot of different blocks, the cause of the crash in my picture was the 2 tubes on top of each other, you can do the same with buildcraft pipes and likely many other blocks which got a smaller collision box
Sorry, slightly lazy, but...
Is there any way at all to make the crawling usable on an unmodded server? As in, I can crawl through a 1x1 hole, but there isn't smart moving for all the server. Just asking because I'm admin on a server, asked the owner about the mod, he approved my use of it, but said it would be slightly unbalanced if everyone could use it. Any answer would be appreciated!
Awesome mod, i don't think it's compatible with a few of my other mods though. Installed it through MCPatcher and there was a lot of conflictions found with Single Player Commands but i did get the patch for everything and i didn't get a black screen or anything and both mods seem to work together. it's just things seem a little off with the way things work and I'm not sure if it's intentional or if it's a bug caused by confliction. first thing is i run 10x faster, about as fast as you'd expect a sprint button to make you run and with the Sprint button held i just book across the world incredibly fast.
this isn't a complaint though, it's just something funny i decided to share. gonna change some options and see if i can make it a bit more to my liking. I'm not quite sure it works with the Mystic Mod pack either. not many of my other mods seem to work with the Mystic mod so i might get rid of it in favor of Smart Moving+Survivalism+Weaponmod. Thanks for the awesome mod, i look forward to using it more.
EDIT: I figured out why i was getting strange bugs. I used the Smart Moving for Modloader and installed it via MCPatcher and my mistake was i didn't need to use MCPatcher to install the mod since it runs automatically from the mods folder with Modloader installed and since it was installed through MCPatcher and was still in the mods folder when i started the game it was conflicting with itself, I've managed to get all my mods that i wanted working together by installing everything except Smart Moving with MCPatcher and then deleting them from the mods folder and just keeping the Smart Moving in the mods folder along with a few other mods that were not having problems.

I haven't been reading the update news on this mod for a while and i heard that the patch is now working with single player commands 2.12.1 so i have came back to this mod :biggrin.gif:
Could you make it RedPower compatible? I'm always getting the "Saving Chunks" error when pressing the "Grab" button while a cover plate from the mod is infront of me. I'm not trying to climb over cover plates, I don't need to have it climb-over able, just fix the crash please, thanks!

I honestly didn't know how you'd adjust to 1.8 adding sprinting and further jumps through the sprinting. But my jaw dropped when I saw you added those really cool movement options... Good work, keep it up.
hey I just got the mod and started minecraft all was working well, and then it loaded and i started walking. I couldn't walk it forced me to run at high speeds with only pressing w. Please help
I'm having the dreadful "taking damage while crawling" problem on my server.
I don't really understand what I'm doing wrong..
I've installed Modloader, ModloaderMP, Player API, and Smart Moving for ModloaderMP on my client version.
Everything works great there.
On my server, I've installed ModloaderMP and Player API for server, along with the ModloaderMP package version of Smart Moving. I've installed and reinstalled these things so many times with fresh .jars that I have the process committed to memory, yet I still keep getting that problem. I went step-by-step with the readme files every single time too.
If I could get some help with this, I would greatly appreciate it, I LOVE this mod and would love to use it on my server, combined with RP2. Oh the possibilities...
