Settlers stay fit and generate power at the same time.

The Power Cycle 1000 and the Power Cycle 1000 prototype are constructible settlement objects in the Fallout 4 add-on Vault-Tec Workshop.

Characteristics[]

Assigning a settler to the Power Cycle 1000 will generate 2-4 power for the settlement. The amount of power generated and the crafting requirements for this item depend on the choices made during the Power to the People quest. All three versions improve the Sole Survivor's Endurance by 1 after use. This effect lasts until a different exercise equipment item is used.

There are 4 variants of the Power Cycle:

  • Prototype – This variant is only available during Power to the People and can be parameterized through a terminal.
  • Shock parameters – This variant generates 4 power and is potentially lethal for the settler assigned to the Power Cycle 1000 (5% chance per day).
  • Buffout parameters – This variant generates 2 power and is potentially lethal for the settler assigned to the Power Cycle 1000 (2% chance per day).
  • Peaceful parameters – This variant generates 2 power and is non-lethal.

Crafting[]

The prototype and peaceful parameters variants can be crafted as follows:

Power Cycle 1000 (1)

The shock parameters variant can be crafted as follows:

Materials:Requirements:Produces:
Copper (4)
Rubber (2)
Screw (3)
Steel (4)

Power Cycle 1000 (1)

Buffout parameters require an additional material, Buffout:

Steel (4)

Power Cycle 1000 (1)

Locations[]

The prototype is located in the Special section of the workshop crafting menu during Power to the People. Once the quest is finished, the Power Cycle 1000 is located under Resources → Vault.

Notes[]

  • The prototype is part of the first experiment, and is scripted to explode after Clem has used it for an in-game hour, thereby demonstrating to the player the potential consequences of experimental features.
  • Setting the shock or Buffout parameters, along with Mood Enhancer or Appetite Suppressant for the soda fountain or Subliminal Messaging or Vault Monitoring for the phoropter will cause the first settler that joined the player character's Vault to leave in protest.
  • When setting up the prototype variant, the player must first either assign a settler to the prototype or connect a generator to the terminal in order to proceed with the experiment, as the terminal requires power to function.
