Ascension is the core party of upgrading your characters by leveling them up. Each character requires a different material to ascend, so they can be hard to track in the early game. Here’s where to get ascension materials in Wuthering Waves.
How to Get Ascension Materials in Wuthering Waves
The most effective way to get all the ascension materials you need is at Uncle Wei’s Weapon Shop. It’s in the northeast part of Jinzhou. Talk to him and choose the “I want to rearm” option. His Weapon Shop will have all the green-tier materials needed for ascending characters at Level 20. You can buy them here for cheap with Shell Credit. They are:
- Whispering Cores.
- Howler Cores.
- Crude Rings.
Check what your character needs to ascend in the Level Up menu, and come back to the Weapon Shop to buy that material. Uncle Wei also sells blue-tier ascension materials.
Furthermore, you can also craft higher-tier ascension materials at the Synthesizer. Once you’re done with the green-tier versions, go up the staircase to the right of Uncle Wei up to the Synthesizer. Select the third tab for Purification. Here, you can spend three green-tier ascension items to get one blue-tier ascension item. It’s an alternative way to get them apart from buying them from Uncle Wei. I would use the synthesizer if you have a lot of green-tier ones to spare. That said, the benefit of the Synthesizer is that you can even craft purple-tier ascension material here.
Uncle Wei and the Synthesizer are the best ways to ascend and Level Up your characters fast. Essentially, all you need is Shell Credits and the Purification tab.
