He’ll then carry on, none the wiser, to Hugo’s deception of him. Finally, he’ll tell you that he no longer needs your services and end your quest chain with him. The Double-Crossed Wires quest will end, and you will earn the typical experience, caps, items, and a legendary three-star weapon.
What Happens if You Tell Oberlin the Truth in Fallout 76?
If you tell Oberlin the truth, he will be extremely shocked at Hugo’s betrayal. In addition, Oberlin will tell you to watch your back as the Vault 63 is a viper’s den, and you can’t trust anyone. Finally, Oberlin says he will make Hugo pay for lying and ask you not to say anything so he can continue the illusion that he is being lied to until he is ready to strike.
