Clive from Final Fantasy 16 has entered the world of Final Fantasy XIV for a limited time. During this event, you can pick up rewards like Clive’s outfit and even an adorable Torgal mount and Torgal Pup minion. Here’s how to complete the FFXVI crossover event in FFXIV.
FFXIV: How to Complete the FFXVI Crossover Event
Before you start the event, you need to be Level 50 and have completed “The Ultimate Weapon” main scenario quest. Once those requirements are met, head to Ul’dah and talk to the Neophyte Adventurer in the Steps of Nald (X:8.8, Y:9.8). He gives you the quest “A Land on Fire,” which starts the crossover officially.
The next stage of the quest is in Eastern Thanalan (X:28.3, Y: 24.3). Teleport to the Camp Drybone Aetheryte and fly to the location marked on your map. The minstrel tells you to stand at a designated location and look for something suspicious. When your screen changes, look down to see a strange man lying on one of the pieces of land in the water. After a cutscene, you automatically return to Ul’dah, where there’s another spot you wait at for Clive’s treatment to finish.
Completing “A Pain to Recall”
Clive lost his memories, so he gives us our next quest, “A Pain to Recall.” Once you accept the quest, you arrive at the airship landing after a cutscene plays. Speak to Clive again, and you end up in Gridania after another cutscene. Then, Clive switches to accompanying us.
Here are our stops with Clive:
- Carline Canopy: X: 11.7, Y: 13.7
- Chocobokeep: X: 12.1, Y: 12.6
- Aetheryte Plaza: X: 12.3, Y: 11.9
- Adder’s Nest: X: 10.0, Y: 11.6
After visiting the Adder’s Nest, we see a cutscene that teleports us right to our next location: Nophica’s Altar. We witness another cutscene, then complete “A Pain to Recall.”
Completing “The Path Infernal”
Next, we talk to Clive and accept “The Path Infernal.” Use the Aethernet and travel to the Lancer’s Guild. Continue to Apkallu Falls (X: 10.6, Y: 6.0) and talk to Clive again. Complete the duty by using your own skills and the special abilities that come with the duty itself.
After the battle, you return to where we started this journey in Eastern Thanalan. Once again, use the Aetheryte for Camp Drybone. Talk to the minstrel, then follow Torgal as he leads you. When Torgal stops, we part ways with Clive and receive our rewards.
