We’ve done many exciting things in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2, from the Avatar x Fortnite to the Star Wars event and beyond. We’re getting very close to the end, where we transition into the next season, and we all know what that means — a live event. Here’s all the details you need to know.
All Details For Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 Live Event
At the end of every season in Fortnite, each player can witness a live in-game event by joining any match during the timeframe. These live events affect the map in huge ways and tie up all the story details for that particular season. Chapter 5, Season 2’s live event will do exactly that with some huge environmental reactions.
Although there haven’t been official statements of what we can expect for the live event, there have been plenty of leaks from reliable sources on Twitter. Shiina on Twitter shares the leaks from @unrealhybrid, revealing thunder clouds overtop of Mount Olympus and the giant statue actually coming to life amidst the lightning strikes.
Along with the statue sparking to life, other leaks show a sandstorm covering a large portion of the map. It appears to work like a storm circle, with red lightning flashing within it. It’s unclear whether this will occur randomly, only in a specific location, or as a replacement for the storm. The sandstorm cloud towers over the map, which is terrifying enough to make me want to stay clear of it.
We don’t know how the statue and sandstorm will play out during the live event; they only play a significant role in them. We’ll most likely see the statue stand and fight as one more chaotic battle between the gods. This will allow the gods to wipe each other out and clear the map. It’ll make room for the new season (much like we saw in previous chapters with the giant Mecha Team Leader).
When Is the Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 Live Event?
The Star Wars event ends on May 14, 2023, and the new season is rumored to start around May 24. This means we’ll see the live event sometime between those dates in the next week. According to the leak sources, we could see them as soon as tomorrow. We won’t know for sure until they arrive or when there’s an official announcement.
