The Gauntlets of Hill Giant Strength increase the Strength of the wearer to 23, which is great for Fighters and Barbarians like Lae’zel and Karlach.

Enter the House of Hope

Start at the Devil’s Fee in Lower City of Act 3. You need to create a portal on the second floor, and you’ll find the items you need to do so locked in chests or set around the area. As such, you avoid wasting your gold purchasing these reagents from Helsik on the first floor. Set them in place for Helsik’s Ritual Puzzle and enter the House of Hope.

From here, the gauntlets are fairly easy to pick up. And if you’re heading into the House of Hope to get the Orphic Hammer or break your contract with Raphael, you might as well grab them while you’re there. In the Archives, you’ll see the Orphic Hammer in the middle of the room. When facing it, head to the right to find the Gauntlets of Hill Giant Strength on a pedestal.

Steal the Gauntlets of Hill Giant Strength

The plate is easy enough to disarm with Astarion or as a Rogue. Otherwise, it’s possible to grab the gauntlets and put a different set of gloves in their place. If you take the Orphic Hammer or contract as well, you’ll end up fighting your way out of the House of Hope. This culminates in a battle against Raphael at the exit.

But that covers how to get the Gauntlets of Hill Giant Strength in Baldur’s Gate 3. The House of Hope is full of goodies, so it’s worth taking a lot around before you make the NPCs hostile towards you.
