The latest cinematic trailer features electricity, a raging storm and an eerily familiar scene. A scientist is pulling levers and putting something together on a table hooked up to various tubes. As a storm rages, a switch is flipped and the creature comes to life. Looks like a Frankenstein’s Monster inspired creature is coming to Gloomrot.

Along with the new monster comes a new spell school, Storm. Not much is known other than it’s focused on electricity. The new spell school magic may have even been used to give the creature in the trailer life.

Secrets of Gloomrot is V Rising’s first expansion. Set to include the new biome of Gloomrot, it is a land ravaged by continuous science experimentation. New V Blood Bosses — of which our new Frankenstein friend could be — the new V Blood Tracking system, new powers, and more variety throughout the game are set to be included. Along with current game mechanic overhauls, like the castle building system, Secrets of Gloomrot is set to be a giant update to the game.

For those looking to try out V Rising, it is currently available in Early Access on Steam. Stay tuned as the release date for Secrets of Gloomrot draws near, as there may be more details revealed before it goes live.
