The Llamas Have Landed: Minecraft 1.11 Exploration Update is Live

The newest big update for Minecraft PC brings new areas, mobs, animals and etc.

Today, Minecraft for PC received a new update via the Exploration Update. The last sizable update was back in June.

The new 1.11 update includes village cartographers that sell players treasure hunting maps. Cartographers also sell llamas which can carry items as players adventure forth.

Players will also be able to traverse new woodland mansions. Here they will encounter a new mob, the illagers. Illagers are able to summon the Vexes, their familiars to attack adventurers.

The update was revealed to be coming soon at Minecon 2016.

Minecraft is a sandbox title that was originally created by developed Mark Persson and released in 2011. As of June 16, it has sold over 100 million copies across various platforms. This has earned the game various titles such as the best-selling PC to date and second best selling video of all time.

Fans of sandbox games and Minecraft can update and play the newest version now.
