The new CEO, Tero Virtala, was the former CEO of RedLynx, the developer responsible for Trials, from November 2002 to April 2015. Mäki will return to head studio productions.

The new CEO, Virtala, said in a statement that the people at Remedy are “talented and passionate people” who are able to create experiences that create new gaming worlds for players.  Former CEO Mäki said that he believes Virtala has the experience to help refine Remedy’s vision for the future. Virtala later said that:

“As the company moves towards multiple simultaneous game projects, it will offer more opportunities for the gamers, our people, partners and us as a company.”

Remedy, the developer responsible for Quantum Break and Alan Wake, is working on a story mode for Crossfire 2. The story mode for the sequel to Crossfire, which was released in 2007, will combine memorable characters, gameplay, and unique story telling.

Remedy has also revealed that it is working on a yet-to-be-revealed project unrelated to its previous IPs.
