Steam modder creates a new custom map that has Techland talking! Can you survive, "Harran The Ride"?

What do you get when you mix an abandoned theme park ride and tons of zombies looking to chew your face off? The heart-pounding experience of the Dying Light map known as Harran The Ride.

Steam user Cabozzl created this labor of love using the Dying Light Dev Tools, and it’s getting rave reviews. So much so that Techland was even impressed by this guy’s work.

The premise of the map is that Kyle Crane has to explore an unusual theme park, in search of a small group of survivors trapped inside. All of the would-be park visitors have been infected and are out of human jerky. On top of that, Rais’s soldiers have taken the place over and are using it as a fort, taking out any runners who happen to stumble upon the location.

This map is a haven for loot and weapons…if you can survive the madness.

Some of the other features of the map include:

  • Customized weapons
  • Trading Shops
  • Radio stations
  • Smarter zombies
  • Easter Eggs

There are more goodies, but I don’t want to give it all away! One slight downside to this custom map is that in order to use the Bozak Bow, you must own the “Bozak Horde” DLC — a small kink in an otherwise action-packed update.

So can you save the survivors and live to tell the tale of a place that no one ever escapes from? Leave your war stories from this map in the comments below!
