To celebrate the app’s launch, the Pokemon Company is offering fans a chance to get their own Shiny Pikachu and Shiny Eevee in Pokemon Let’s Go, Eevee! and Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu!, respectively.

In order to obtain these Pokemon, players will need to download the Pokemon Pass app and head to their nearest participating Target store any time between May 11 and June 23. The app will then use geolocation to verify their location before sending them a notification that they’re eligible for a special reward.

Players will need to go through a series of prompts in the app, one of which will be to find a special QR code in the store and scan it to claim their Shiny Pikachu or Shiny Eevee. Both pokemon are Level 10 and come with the following moves:

Shiny Pikachu

  • Thunderbolt
  • DoulbeKick
  • Double Team
  • Thunder

Shiny Eevee

  • Double-Edge
  • Iron Tail
  • Helping Hand
  • Facade

In addition to the shiny Pokemon, fans that visit Target and use their apps on May 11 between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. local time will receive additional goodies related to the Detective Pikachu movie. These include physical items such as a Psyduck promo card for the Pokemon Trading Card game and a movie poster. Quantities are limited on both of these. so those wanting to get their hands on them should probably be there as soon as the event starts.

For those that do miss out on these goodies, there’s no need to worry: the Pokemon Pass will offer more rewards at even more stores in the future.
