Guild Services Retiring July 22; The War Within Pre-Patch Likely July 23rd

Guild Reputation Guide

Blizzard has announced the retirement of Guild Realm Transfers and Guild Faction Transfers on July 22nd. It makes sense that these services will be going away, since all guilds will be cross-faction and cross-realm in The War Within. Guild Name Changes will remain available in the shop.

The date of this retirement very likely gives us the date of The War Within Pre-Patch. It would be logical to retire these services right before the Pre-Patch renders them obsolete. If Blizzard sticks to their old pattern of releasing content with Tuesday maintenance, that would put the Pre-Patch on the following day, July 23rd. This date would also place the Pre-Patch exactly one month before the 3-day Early Access begins for the expansion, which launches August 26th.

We will be retiring Guild Services currently available in the in-game shop as of July 22, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. PDT.

Services that will be retired include Guild Realm Transfers and Guild Faction Transfers. After July 22, 2024, these services will no longer be available. The Guild Name Change service will continue to be available.
