FFVII Rebirth Art Team Made Sandwiches in Real Life for the Game

Square Enix revealed that the sandwiches that appear in FFVII Rebirth were prepared in real life and added to the game. The official FFVII Remake Project X (formerly Twitter) account shared a post to celebrate Sandwich Day in Japan, which is celebrated on March 13.

The post revealed that the sandwiches that appear in-game were recreated by taking pictures of real sandwiches made by hand by members of the FFVII Rebirth art team and then using them as the textures. The image shows sandwiches with a variety of different fillings, including savory and sweet sandwiches.

In addition, these sandwiches can also be ordered from the menu available at the Square Enix Cafe in Akihabara and the ARTNIA café and store in Shinjuku. Aside from the sandwiches, both the Square Enix Cafe and ARTNIA are currently offering an FFVII Rebirth collaboration, and a real-life replica of the Buster Sword is on display at both locales.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is immediately available for the PlayStation 5, with the exclusivity arrangement ending on May 29, 2024. FFVII Remake is available on the PS4, PS5, and PC.
