THIS PACK REQUIRES OPTIFINE TO WORK! VANILLA BANNER PATTERNS DO NOT WORK ON THESE SHIELDS!
To resource pack creators: this pack is intended as a free-to-use resource, meaning that you may use, modify, and redistribute the contents of this pack however you'd like, so long as proper credit is given.
To create your own custom shield patterns, simply navigate to your resourcepacks folder, then to More Shield Shapes (3D shields)->assets->minecraft->textures->item; there is a blank texture for each shield, named "<shape>_pattern1.png".
Open this file with any image editing software of your choosing and modify it to your liking, then save it. When you reload your texture packs ingame (f3+T), you should be able to see the changes you made.
To actually use these shields in-game, you must of course load the pack in your Resource Packs section and make sure the file is unzipped.
HOW TO GET IN-GAME: Take a regular shield to an anvil and rename it to " Plain <shape> Shield" for the flat wooden shield, no pattern on it.
You can also do "Blank <shape> Shield" for the blank modifiable pattern variant.
The available shapes right now are Hexagonal, Oval, Round, and Roman.
TEXTURE FILE GUIDE:
Models were created using the Blockbench modeling software.
Please ask any questions you might have about this pack, technical or otherwise. Enjoy!
