The dashing 90s are an important period of Russian history that began after the August 1991 coup and the failure of the GKCHP and ended in the early 2000s.

During the dashing 90s, rampant banditry and corruption reigned. There has been a practical coalescence of the law enforcement system with bandits, the situation in Russia has become similar to the situation that is happening in many Latin American countries.

The business was almost all criminalized. There were either obvious bandits sitting here, or ordinary people with money that hung on the counter of the bandits (they were, in fact, subjected to a reket). Big tycoons organized raider seizures of entire companies, displacing competitors from their market by illegal means. Bandit showdowns became a constant phenomenon, in which problems were solved by force.
