It's well known the villagers, illagers, and witches in Minecraft are stuck with an incredibly antisemitic design that despite hope, will probably never be changed. I've looked for a resource pack that only changed those elements, and was non-optifine friendly, but found none, so I finally made my own, as I am Jewish, and frankly tired of these designs. There are many changes I wish to make in the future, however, my technical knowledge only goes so far, so the changes are strictly visual as of now. If I figure out how to do these things in the future I will certainly update it.

It's messed up how the game allows players to basically exploit them, and treat them as non-human. Locking them up, kidnapping them from their homes, killing their protectors for iron, infecting them to lower prices, breeding them, and only keeping them as an infinite source of items.
Sure it makes interesting game mechanics, but the implications are extremely off putting and very similar to topics regarding slavery and colonialism.
Maybe the developers didn't intend that this is how the game is supposed to be played, but cmon why would you ever make them this op? You can get every single specific enchantment book, basically making enchanting tables almost useless.
I think a better solution is either completely removing them from the game, or removing the farming aspects of villagers (trading, breeding, iron farms)
Trading could still be viable if replaced by like, a market block, maybe? Iron farms could still exist if a different creature supplied it, enchantment tables could provide every single book randomly, you just need to break it to reroll it.
Unfortunately, changing much more than what I have done already is way beyond my individual capabilities. I am, and have always been, just an artist at the end of the day. Figuring out how to rename the mobs and items was a struggle for me, and I wasn't the one who made the port, either. I certainly don't have the knowledge to code anything, much less create such a major overhaul of an entire in-game system. However if something like that were to be attempted by a mod team, I'd love to support, or even be a part of a project like that.
