Didn't quite finish this in time for the Calling All Heroes contest, but oh well. This is an old skin design based on an even older drawing of a character from a book I started writing. Arada is an apprentice mage who has a tendency to be overly optimistic and often doesn't think through her actions. This leads to a number of magical incidents throughout her studies, but things get serious when she casts a spell to wipe the memory of a powerful villain in the hopes that she can convince them to change their ways. Her mentor, the archwizard Valthon, thinks she's made a grave mistake that could doom the world, but Arada is convinced she's done the right thing. The main storyline of the book (if I ever finish it :P) follows the ensuing series of adventures and misadventures, ultimately leading to the discovery that, despite all the additional problems created along the way, Arada was right, just not in the way she expected.
