In the year 175 of the Fourth Era, the White-Gold Concordat forbade the worship of Talos Stormcrown within the Empire. But in the distant colony of Esroniet, far from the watchful gaze of the Imperial governors (as well as the Thalmor), some still cling to their faith. The Temple of Ysmir -- the Nordic name for Talos -- was built in 4E 201 by Hjalti of the Pale. Upon his arrival in the port of Blackharbor, Hjalti immediately set forth to honor his god. On a hill overlooking the city, at the edge of the jungle, he built his temple in a simple yet elegant Nordic style. Before it stands a grand statue of Ysmir, standing steadfast as he watches over the city.

This is a simple temple I built for the ElderAkavir RP server in the first few days playing as a new character. The server is set on a chain of islands off the coast of Akavir, known as Esroniet, and this build is in the main city (spawn), Black Harbor.

The temple is a sort of stave church with a tropical twist. Originally the statue was a copy of a pretty commonly used design and was meant to be inside of the temple, but in order to keep the size of the build smaller and more realistic for my character to have built himself, I repositioned it outside and modified it to be looking diagonally across the city. I wish I could remember who showed me how to do the sword-in-the-stone for the inner shrine to give credit... but it's basically an armor stand with an End rod over it lol.
