This is a very nice ship considering you look new to building. I like the slick shape of the boaty bit (I forgot what it is called) and the wings are a nice touch. The balloon is good but could be smoother. To make it even better, add some extra detail, the smaller the detail the bigger the difference it makes. You could also try and build in a texture pack, it give the build a uniqueness and finally, what some people see as a cheat, but you could photoshop it. Add lens flares, a new background and maybe shadows and a title. Overall a good start to ship building and I can see your ships getting better as time goes on.
