Really appreciate how much time this must have taken to create and construct <3
Now we're off to play Saturn's Orbit! :)
Me and my boyfriend really enjoyed your map! The story was great and the map build is amazing.
Just one thing we can't get over - we couldn't find the smith's son Aaron. Could you tell us where he was located? For the piece of mind.
My main problems are summed up by the points below:
- Frequently bad typos and grammatical errors across all narration and text. It was hard to get immersed in the story with the difficulty of reading through the dialogue at some points. Eg. "sectret" instead of "secret". There were also mild inconsistencies, such as the hidden bunker behind the KFC having 4 "propels" instead of 3 as mentioned in a book.
- Lots of backtracking and being forced to go to point A to go to point B to go to point C, gated by locked doors and needing keys requiring retracing our steps. Running was not very fun, especially with our limited supply of food.
This map felt like a Resident Evil playthrough, but went on for far longer than we expected. However, the maps were very expansive and that must've taken a lot of effort. One problem we struggled with was the lack of food during the initial start of the game, with the only items available being ones such as dried kelp, cookies, and rotten flesh, but that was quickly solved. Another minor issue was the Wither boss having dark blue text when speaking, which was very hard to read.
The story was rough, but it was very understandable. We were given the motivations of the villains through, background lore about the world, and some hints through signs, and there were lots of side-quests to do that felt rewarding when we got powered up items.
Despite my complaints though, I had a bit of fun with friends going through the map. All in all I wish it didn't take so long to complete. I give it a final rating of 6/10 - an OK map with a lot of effort put in with its sheer size.
