About the project
It's a long time ago, since I've started this project. Back in the days, I loved the visuals and designs of the 1920s -1940s. My favorite was the Chrysler building and so it came that every minecraft map of myself had atleast one of it. Furthermore I gathered interest in the city of New York, as well in its history. So I begun with my first recreation of the midtown area (still downloadable as "old map"!). As the time steps forward, my personal preferences in details and accuracy increased. So I went on to a new horizon - the horizon of lower Manhattan. With this attempt I've started my first 1:1 recreation. First of all difficulty increased slightly due the angled roads in lower Manhattan. But somehow I have mastered them with my triangle from my school utils. For now the project is discontinued. My personal life has changed, I dont play minecraft anymore, but I still want to keep the downloads of the project alive. Maybe someone has the courage to continue or even recreate the project!
Over the time I have met a lot of guys, who were also interesten in the city, the decade and it's history. These guys invested as much as possible time and energy into the project. Thank you for your greatly help!
This map offers
In fact that this project is just an exterior replica, there are no general interiors such as lofts, offices and stores!

It's allowed to use the OLD MAP as a server map or what ever you want to do with (with some exceptions, as seen in the next paragraph!), e.g. for youtube videos, showcases & blogposts, if you give CREDIT.

Minecraft Commercial Usage Guidelines
The Minecraft EULA and Brand and Asset Usage Guidelines ("Policies") restrict the commercial use of the Minecraft Name, Brand, and Assets, including software, graphics and audio.
However, since we do love the idea of players and fans doing cool things and sharing them with the community, and we realize that sometimes you need to charge to cover your costs, the following explains what we (currently) consider to be commercial use / commercial things. This may change as time goes by but for now we hope that it helps you understand what you can and can’t do, and helps Minecraft fans do more (and limit those that try to go too far).
We have therefore drafted these Guidelines to allow some leniency with respect to limited commercial activity as outlined below. They don't form part of the Policies but they exist because we currently think it is a good idea to let some of these things happen. Please note that we reserve the right to change our mind at any time (such as if people start to take advantage of our good intentions) and to update these Guidelines. So please don't count on these Guidelines always being here or in the specific form they are right now.
We also want to make it clear that these Guidelines are for the community of Minecraft players and fans. They do not authorize commercial companies, corporate brands, advertising agencies, non-profits, or governments to use or exploit Minecraft for promoting products or services unrelated to Minecraft. See below for more detail in the section, “Building Promotions into Minecraft.”
