Arrrrrr, gather round lads and lasses of the Minin' and Craftin' Planet!
Marauder's Cove is a pirate island that sets the stage for a new multiplayer RPG gamemode on our server.
The main story puts you in character as a stowaway on a ship, where you are discovered by the crew and made to walk the plank.
However, through a series of unfortunate events, you are taken hostage to Marauder's Cove and it is now your task to find the fabled Prismarine Crystal, an ancient relic that grants it's beholder extreme power over the seas!
Our goal for the map was to make the game fully immersive, without the use of tutorials and signs telling the player the rules of the game, with this gamemode, there are no rules.
It's taken around two months to build, develop the custom plugin and create the resource pack, all whilst taking a break to compete in the Planet Minecraft contest, Under The Sea.
The custom plugin controls NPCs, events, main story and side quests. We'll be releasing a behind the scenes video soon on how we did it!
