Capabilities
The F/A-38 is a VTOL fighter jet used by China (Strategic Defense Coalition [SDC]) and the United States (USAF, USN) and possibly Canada (RCAF). The fighter has two internal rotary cannons where the air intakes on an F-35 or F-22 would be and it also carries Skybuster missiles and other bombs internally.
Possible use by the Royal Canadian Air Force
In the mission "Cordis Die", Samuels, a Secret Service agent states that NORAD scrambled two hundred F/A-38s to assist in dealing with the hijacked drones attacking Los Angeles. Canada is part of NORAD of course but it is unclear whether or not Canadian fighter jets would be scrambled in the event of an emergency in the U.S.'s airspace. It is also relevant that if the number stated is precise then that would mean Canada has F/A-38's, but that depends if Canadian fighters would be scrambled by NORAD along with Americans in an emergency in the U.S.
