This is a schematic for a bridge-town, which was inspired by the real-life original London Bridge, which has been gone for many centuries now.

The town has shops, a church and a great hall, and a cemetery at one end.  The schematic includes land at both ends and the water, so you may need to mess around on MC edit to get it to work properly in your maps.
