REAGENTCRAFT : A NEW WAY TO GET RESOURCES

Reagencraft offers an alternative to traditional Minecraft resource gathering & mining.

It gives you a way of getting otherwise hard to get resources.



It adds Reagent Ore generation to the overworld, which can be mined & smelted into Reagent.

Reagent can then be crafted with Reagent Production Stones to produce the required resources.


After the inital stage of gathering enough resources to make the base set of Reagentcraft stones,
you only need mine Reagent Ore (and Redstone if the option is turned on) to produce more of any other minecraft resource.

The process then becomes: Craft the appropriate production stone==> mine Reagent Ore ==> Process the ore into the required level of Reagent ==> Craft Production Stone with Reagent to produce new resources.


Ultimately, when you make the Stone of Infinity (assuming option is on in the configuration). you will no longer even need to mine Reagent Ore.


The mod also provides a great new set of tools, armor & a high powered sword.

An Alchemist's Stone is used to craft Reagent and Crafting Tables.
It is crafted using Diamonds, Emeralds, Nether Quartz and Glowstone Dust:






Mine Reagent ore and smelt it into Reagent Ingots:






Reagent Ingots can be crafted into Reagent Jewels:






Reagent Jewels can be crafted into reagentcraft tools, armor, and sword:






Reagent Jewels can be crafted into Crafting Stones:






Reagent Ingots can also be crafted into Reagent Nuggets:



These are the basis of all reagentcraft resource production.




Reagent Nuggets can be crafted to make Reagent Level 1:






2 X Reagent can be crafted to make 1 X Reagent of the next highest level (1-6):






1 X Reagent can be crafted to make 2 X Reagent of the next lowest level:





Production Stones


Production stones, along with the right level reagent, are used to produce the actual minecraft resource you need.


For example, a Stone of Leather and 1 X Reagent level 3 can be crafted together to produce 4 X leather:



The Reagent will be consumed, but the Stone will be left on the crafting table undamaged.




Crafting Stones



Crafting Stones are combined with resources and sometimes with other Crafting Stones to craft new Production Stones.


For example, a Crafting Stone surrounded by Rotten Flesh can be crafted to produce a Stone of the Zombie:







Configuration notes


By default, several very powerful resources are left active in the configuration, so you might consider turning some off.
Edit reagentcraft.cfg to change these.



Stone Of Infinity

This can be crafted with 1 X Reagent level 1 to produce 8 new Reagant 1.
The stone will take damage & eventually break.



Sword

Gives 18 attack damage.



Redstone Smelting

Allows smelting of Redstone into Reagent Nugget.



Alternate Crafting Stone recipe

This is turned on by default & allows Reagent Jewels and an
Emerald to be used in place of Diamonds in the Crafting Table recipe:





Tips



There are a lot of crafting recipes involved, JEI is a good mod that lets you easily view them.


You will need some expensive resources to enable you to advance so it is advisable to make your base near a village,
so you can trade.


To craft Reagent Nuggets you need an Alchemist's Stone, so this, along with a Crafting Stone are some of the first things
you should make.



It can pay to craft a reagentcraft Pickaxe near the start, as these are very efficient.



Reagent Ore generates equally from level 1 to level 70 in the overworld.



Your Alchemists Stone never takes damage and remains in the crafting grid after crafting so you only ever need make one.



Crafting Stones are consumed each time they are used in a crafting operation.

The mod should work on all levels of minecraft 1.12
