In the real world TNT is unstable, placing blocks of it around your house is unrealistic.. but then putting it in a chest is not too safe either. Breaking the chest can cause the contents to explode violently.
Powderchests is designed for the server play.byte.org.uk so ships and airships can no longer cram all the explosives into an inert chest for storage, if the powder chest is destroyed then an explosion will follow on board the ship.

Players now have to watch where they store TNTand gunpowder.. and keep a safe distance
