Mob Chamber is a small 2-Dimensional game in which your duty is to protect Steve.

How long can you survive?
The game is created to test your ability, share how long you survive below and compete with some friends!

Controls
Control Steve by using the keys A,D,SPACE to dodge the mobs and use the mouse button to swing your sword at them.

The game features a lighting engine involved in one of my upcoming games, so be sure to admire the graphical features and the engine.

This game is in development and has only been in development for a few hours. The game and it's code are owned by Christian Benner (CrispingChicken) and cannot be distributed.

Bugs or drawbacks:
The game is not tested on Windows 8 and I believe may have some graphical bugs (Please give feedback)
There is no menu
When you die your only option is to close the game
Zombies don't react with light

Upcoming features:
Bug fixes
Menu
Retry/respawn options
Shop
Leaderboards
Zombies reacting with light
More frames

The game uses JavaSE-1.6 or higher so make sure you have the correct Java installed (You should if you play Minecraft ;D)
The game is built around the Slick2D/LWJGL interface and features.

Why no Mac? This always happens? Don't you have Mac and Linux natives as well as Windows?

I could create a mac version soon, but I didn't have plans for it as I figured it was a small user base, guess I'm wrong (might release mac version soon)

Because gaming on a Mac sucks despite how light it is, and because Microsoft operating systems occupy more than 92% of all the worlds home computers. It doesn't make sense to spend a ton of extra time for such a small user base.

Spend money? This was made with Java (I'm assuming), so there are natives for easy compatability with Macs.

Or maybe it is because you have to go through separate processes to build for a Mac compared to Windows. Macs do not suck, they are ofcourse not meant for gaming, but that does not mean they can not be used for it. My sisters play Minecraft perfectly fine on their Macs, despite being built in 2006, they handle the game pretty well. Macs are a much more locked down system compared to Windows and they have more restrictive methods to produce applications for them compared to Windows. And sure, 92% .. of the WORLDS computers, how many computers are in the world? Im pretty sure that even 1% is a LOT of users..

...I didn't say Macs suck, I said that if you can dual-boot with Windows 7 for free, why wouldn't you?

In the end, this isn't really about Macs, its about OS X. Personally, I hate the name "Mac," since its pretty much nothing more than a cheap marketting ploy. "Macs" are just PCs manufactured by Apple. People need to stop pretending there's a difference.

I was going to bring up your main point but, knowing me, it would've gotten lengthy fast.

PS: Multiply that "large 1%" by 92. lmao

I like your banter, but it wouldn't actually be too hard for me to make a Mac version (I'm a lil busy and cba)

Personally I don't like Macs sowi guys xD I may port it if I'm persuaded
