why cant we all be friends?

now, I have an answer to this; i want everyone else reading this to think about why you cant- or arent even trying- to be friends with or at least kind and friendly to everyone! why arent you making an effort? kindness multiplies kindness! [​YES i stole that from moomoo math and science SHUT UP /lh]

"i dont like/had a bad experience with the group of people so and so is from :/" you may not agree with the life choices of someone, but that doesn't mean you have to hate them or be rude to them in any way. you could also try to help them!

"i have/had/am currently in an icky situation with so and so" i recommend you try and ease the conflict, apologize for anything you KNOW or have come to realize youve done wrong, and forgive. forgiveness is a crucial part of conflict resolution because if you dont forgive and you hold a grudge or forget without forgiving, is the conflict really actually over? or have you just set it aside to collect dust and never be truly resolved or talked about again?

"i dont agree with so and so's worldviews" okay and????? i dont agree with the worldviews of half the people on this website or the vast majority of my friend group. theyre still my friends. im still capable of having kindness towards them.

"i dont like the life choices so and so has made" first of all, its their life. theyll do what they want with it. the choices they have made in and for their own life, whether or not theyve affected other people, INCLUDING YOU [​see above], doesnt determine whether or not you hold kindess or hatred/dislike towards them. ITS YOUR CHOICE. YOU choose to be kind and loving despite whether or not so and so is a "bad" or "good" person by your standards.

"so and so has done something really bad in the past and i dont wanna be associated with it" have they grown? have they apologized? have they recognized that what they did was bad? have they completely forgotten? regardless, the past isnt the present, nor is it the future [​in. most cases. ignoring the history repeats itself rule right now, that mostly applies to big events anyways]. YOU pick your CURRENT actions and choices and they WILL have consequences, whether good or bad, and you can choose to love, forgive and forget or you can hold that grudge like a knife to the persons throat. [​um. aggressive simile mbad chat :']

^^^ im gonna give an example for that. XisumaVoid is the admin of a beloved minecraft server, Hermitcraft, and is one of the biggest sweethearts known to man. [​very important edit: HE CREATED BEDWARS.] did you know he used to be racist, transphobic and homophobic? he grew from that, and he is a MUCH better person now. since his past was revealed, hes lost some followers, im sure, but most of his fanbase [​and others!] RECOGNISED that hes better now and has grown and apologized for his mistakes. why would you hate and judge for something someone has moved apart from? if you think xisuma is still a bad person for his past actions, guess you cant play bedwars! because you wouldn't wanna play a game created by a "bad person", right?

lmk if i missed any povs, and ill try to help if you want me to, but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE remember that

A. hatred/dislike multiplies hatred/dislike and kindness/love multiples kindness/love!!!!!!!!!!!!

NO ONE IS BETTER THAN ANYBODY. weve all done good things and weve all done bad. holding your status above someone else as a "better than you" person makes you worse than them. if youre following a secular perspective, truth is SUBJECTIVE, and you could be a terrible person to whoever youre claiming to be better than.

and since everyone seems to love this bible verse, no matter who they are, "love thy neighbor as yourself" or something. i dont have it memorized. you get the point. ok i love you all im gonna go shower this was a LONG post
