Slabs can be very useful items, but sometimes it is possible to craft too many of them or to collect some in a structure and not have use for them. With this datapack, you can recycle them back into their original blocks. The recipe is shapeless, and it works for essentially all slab types in 1.14. As always, enjoy!
Notes:
For the stone brick and purpur recipes, the slabs must be placed diagonally in the crafting area. Otherwise, they will produce chiseled stone and purpur pillars, respectively.
There is no recipe for recycling petrified oak slabs, as these cannot be obtained in vanilla survival and have no starting block.

"Petrified Oak Slabs are the stone-type wooden slabs left from before Java Edition 1.3.1. They are now unobtainable in vanilla survival."
"Petrified Oak Slabs are actually stone slabs with the wooden texture, so they have the same hardness as their stone counterparts. Currently, there are no crafting recipes for this special type of slab, and it can only obtained from the creative inventory or from commands."

So, they basically left them in there but took out the recipe to create them, instead making the recipe create actual wooden planks. :)
