This datapack makes it possible

For detailed instructions, see below.
/trigger travel
Opens the travel menu. It displays the protection points that are available for traveling.
Mind that this feature can be turned off by the owners of the respective groups.
/trigger prot_settings
Opens the settings menu. It lets you enable and disable if players can teleport
to your protection point using the travel menu.
/trigger protect
Creates a protection point. In a 104-block radius around this point, people with a
different UUID who are not a member of your group are set to adventure mode.
/trigger un_protect
Removes the protection point of your group.
/trigger invite
Lets you invite players into your group who don't own a group with members
themselves. To be clear, you don't have to create a group, since you own your group by
default. To invite someone, use /trigger invite set [ID]. The number you use here is
the number displayed in the TAB-Menu in front of the player's name you want to invite.
/trigger join
Lets you join a group once you have been invited. To join the group you've been invited to
last, use /trigger join [ID]. The number you use here corresponds to the UUID of the player
who owns the group you have been invited to, which is given to you by the invite message.
/trigger leave
Lets you leave the group you are currently a member of.
/trigger kick
Lets you kick players from the group you own. To kick a player use /trigger kick set [ID].
The number you use here corresponds to the player's ID displayed in the TAB-Overview.

I think doing /kill @e[tag=group_point] should force-remove all area protections.
Have a nice day!
I wanted to notify, that right now, I'm working on patching the pack to 1.20 (Snapshot 23w35a, as of right now).
I was actually wrong in my earlier comment. The Datapack works fine in 1.20.
the datapack is currently not compatible with 1.20.
Can is possible to change de number of protect radius because 104 block is too large :)
and when we do many protect zone, in travel menu, only one appear (1.19.3)
Merry xmas to you :)
I will change that with the next Datapack update ^^
happy that you seem to have tried to use my pack. Sorry for the late reply... :/
I didn't make the area's size adjustable, but that is a very good idea for an addition to the pack's features.
I will also have a look at that bug with the travel menu. THanks!
Have a nice day, and sorry again for not replying that quickly... Planetminecraft has been kind of an on-and-off platform for me, but I'm trying to develop more stuff again.
