Gnomes!
first of all credit of the original datapack goes to The Mobo
This Datapack adds Garden Gnomes to your Minecraft World!
During the Day, Gnomes will be made of stone, and not move. They are a statue. However, when the sun sets, they come alive!
there are 3 Variants. One has a red hat, a green shirt, and blue pants. Another has a red hat, a blue shirt, and green pants. And finally, the other one has a blue hat, a green shirt, and blue pants.
Killing/Destroying Gnomes will drop their stone variant. The type of Gnome is displayed in the lore of the item.
Gnomes will naturally spawn in your world wherever other passive mobs are able to spawn.
now for the edits that i made (again all credit goes to Mobo)
so the first thing i did was stopping them from spawning naturaly with a multitude of reasons
firstly having them spawn naturaly would have less pigs spawning as in the day time every now and then pigs would be replaced making the gnomes spawn "naturaly" or every where, where other passive mobs would spawn
this would also give problems with pig farms as a pig might suddenly be replaced with a gnome
secondly i made them attack a multitude of mobs and dont want lag by having gnomes spawn naturaly and start killing the mobs when night time comes
about them attacking mobs, i actualy made it easy to edit the mobs being attacked by going to data/minecraft/tags/entity_types/gnome.passive
all mobs in this json file are mobs that wont be attacked
this means that if you want them to stop attacking creepers you just add them to the list
although since i chanced the base mob (the mob used for the gnome) from a husk to a zombie pigman snowmen and iron golems will attack the gnomes
ps. i dont have "area_effect_cloud" in the list wich means that if the gnomes see a lingering potion closer to them then a difrent mob they will go there to get the effect
but how do you acquire gnomes when they dont spawn naturaly
a diffrent thing i did was adding in a crafting recipe for the three gnomes
this recipe will give you all three gnomes
ps. if you dont add creeper to the list gnome.passive i recommend turning off MobGriefing as unless you have a ton of gnomes attacking it at once it will most likely explode

edit: ive now finished the code for an evil gnome that attacks just the player when night falls
im working on a structure, a more powerfull gnome that can attack everything, and stationary gnomes (gnomes that will be made of stone forever until aktivated) and of course recipes for all of them.
