These are just some statements that I have collected and made up over some time. I wanted to put them all in my forum sig, but they did not all fit, so I only put a few. Here is the list I made.
Nothing makes us so lonely as our secrets.
We are so persuaded of the rightness of our own judgement as to invalidate evidence that does not confirm us in it.
Let's pray that the human race never escapes Earth to spread it's iniquity elsewhere.
Whoever undertakes to set himself up as a judge of Truth and Knowledge is shipwrecked by the laughter of the gods.
Men never do evil so completly and cheerfully as when they do it from a religious conviction.
Falsehood has an infinity of combinations, but truth has only one being.
Pouring water on a fire only makes it hiss and spit.
We deny religion by nature. Our 'intelligent' race chooses to believe in the tangible and plausible, rather than the transparent and supernatural.
Normal is a myth, and time is a bent line.
Why is the person in front of you judged by their actions and words, when the person acroos the stree is judged by their looks and opinions?
We only feel comfortable surrounded by rules and people to enforce them. It is impossible for us to live in mutual trust.
What defines reality? The general assumption that something does not exist, or the assuption that everything else does?
