Pumpkin Head Zombies/Skeletons

I was playing Minecraft a while ago, an I came across something most... peculiar... I found a few zombies and skeletons wearing pumpkins. I'm pretty sure this was intended by Mojang, as they didn't appear any time before Halloween (31 October).

If the pumpkins are permanent, I would find it stupid as well. It does make for a nice holiday theme, I suppose.
