Hi guys, G0dlyCheese here, and today I am going to talk about
minecraft myths, and whether they are busted or confirmed.
Thanks for reading!
1. Herobrine
Herobrine was never added to the game. On multiple changelogs for previous
minecraft versions, it says "Removed Herobrine". Yet, there was never any
thing in any changelog that said "Added Herobrine". This myth started on the
creepypastas of 4chan, saying that it's not real, no matter what. Notch has
also tweeted many times that He does not plan to add herobrine to vanilla
minecraft.
So we can declare this one busted.
2. Epic Ender Dragon Win
This one is less well known. At first, there was no way to know for sure whether
this myth was true, but then modders came along, decompiled the code, and
found no evidence of this being true. The myth states that if you kill the Ender
Dragon with your bare hands without breaking any ender crystals, which is
pretty much impossible, than the ending message changes and it rewards you
with much more exp.
As I said before, this one is clearly busted.
3. Blaze Snowball Win
So this one is an important one, because of how seemingly useless snowballs
are. This myth was started right after blazes were exposed to the people who
played minecraft. The myth stated that if you throw snowballs at a blaze, it
significantly increases the amount of damage it does to the blaze. After some
modders analyzed it, they found that this myth was true.
So this one's confirmed.
4. Enchanting Over 9000!
This is a myth that was basically very vague until the answer was found. The
myth stated that there was a higher level of enchanting that you could access
in vanilla minecraft. In fact, after Minecraft was decompiled, it was found that
you could enchant to level 127 in vanilla minecraft. You could not access it,
however.
This myth is kind of plausible. There was level 127 hidden in the code of
vanilla minecraft, but there was no way to access it in either survival or
creative mode.
5. The Farlands
This myth was kind of confusing. This was invented by a troll who was trying
to get the community hyped up over nothing. This myth explained that eventually,
the world ended and you would fall through the floor, be able to fly, not be able
to break anything. Eventually, someone had the patience to fly to the coordinates
of about x 31000000 or z 31000000. At both coordinates, there was a place where
the world generation stopped functioning properly, and blocks could not be broken.
No flying, but the joke's on him, because this myth was true. The way this works,
is that eventually, as the discoverer said, the minecraft world gets too big, and it
stops generating. It still is infinite, but it doesn't generate properly to save memory.
The discoverer called it the Farlands.
This myth is confirmed.
I hope you guys enjoyed!
