Minecraft.
When someone hears that, the first thing that usually comes to mind is "A building game". Which, is pretty accurate considering there's hundreds of blocks and items you can use to build amazing structures, redstone mechanisms, and much, much more. But is that really all Minecraft can do? If that really is the case, then why hasn't it died out long ago like most games?
Well, for starters, Minecraft is unique when it comes to it's players. You have players as young as 8 playing alongside with players as old as 25-30. Although this combination tends to not mix well for obvious reasons, this age, gender, and origin range has allowed kids and adults from all over the world to work as a team and form friendships by building and surviving together. Because of this, Minecraft has become almost like a social networking site for gamers both young and old.
But what else is so appealing to it besides that? All you do in the game is place a bunch of blocks and kill virtual creatures. That surely wouldn't be entertaining forever!
Maybe so. Minecraft's community has also made all sorts of mods, which are coding modifications to the game to add in extra items, mobs, etc, plugins, skins, and more. Because of these gaming modifications, players can now experience the game in whole different views and face more fun and sometimes difficult challenges rather than just building a house and killing a couple of skeletons.
We also have the Minecraft Youtubers-- Youtube users who make a large influx of Minecraft related videos of them and usually other friends/players playing the game. Popular people in this category include SkyDoesMinecraft, CaptainSparklez, BajanCanadian, Antvenom, and BlueXephos (Yogscast). All of these commentators thousands, and some even millions of fans across the world who enjoy their videos. This has allowed more people to discover the game who haven't already, and show that no matter what age, Minecraft can be a fun for anyone.
With this, and with the large number of players and huge community Minecraft has gathered, it's clear to see that Minecraft will probably not be fading from gaming anytime soon. This simple yet incredibly addictive and creative game has stolen the hearts of millions around the world, and surely, somehow, the game has brought the community itself closer than any game before.

I apologize for any of you who have been wondering or upset about my two month hiatus, but I have been having issues at home that needed resolving, and thus I really couldn't be bothering with the Internet at the moment. I'll be back to posting blogs regularly again, about once a week, just so that I can keep in touch with PMC, and all the friends/subscribers who've been wondering where I've been.
