Have an interview with me and @CreationDreams about Creativity and Thinking!
Her answers are marked with a ´~´
-
1- How long have you been skinning?
~ I'd say I've been creating skins for a good 3 years now :)
2- Did you expect winning the contest or coming that far?
~ No, I didn't expect winning, mostly because I know finalists are
determined by diamonds, and I'm not used to a lot of attention.
3- Do you have any inspiration?
~ My main inspiration for my 'style' would definatly origunate from users like Oblivion & Oceanelle.
4- What colours do you like to use on skins?
~ I try to use a wide variety of colors on my skins, however, I really like browns, gold, and navy blue.
5-What inspires you to go on with skinning?
~ I don't think that I have any specific motivations, but I just find it fun.
6- What do you think is in your eyes your best skin?
~ My 'Delicate' skin is probably one of my best skins currently, aside from the skirt BADLEY in need of fixing.
7- What do you think about shading, is it important?
~ I'd say one of the most important parts of shading is making it look natural, from contours, to color choice, to placement.
8- Do you plan your skins?
~ Other than "fan made" skins, I occasionally like to make skins based off "original characters" that I doodle in school.
9- How long does a skin take for you?
~ Time actually working on a skin probably lasts anywhere from 2-4 hours.
10- If you had to choose between being creative or shading what would you choose?
~ Creativity is more important. For example, there may be a skin that may
have some really rad shading, but if it's just a girl in a sweater,
shorts, and shoes, it's not going to be all that special.
11- How long do you normally work on a skin?
~ As for a time frame, it can take me a week or two to actually have the time & energy to go make a skin.
12- Have you ever made a skin, you didn't want to make?
~ Not really, no, I've had a pretty genuine interest with all the skins I've made at the times.
13- Does each of your skin have a different shading?
~ They definetly changed over the 3 years but I try to keep my shading consistant.
14- From a scale from 1-10 how much does creativity count for you?
~ I'd say an 8/10, but it kind of depends. If you want to create a
personal skin just to enjoy, then shading isn't really a neccesity.
However, if you want others to enjoy your skin, you may want to take
shading into account.
15- Do you think 'Skinner' could be a job?
~ Possibly, you may be able to take commisions for creating skins just like any other digital artist.
16- Which skin of yours do you think failed?
~ To be honest, I feel like any skins from July 28, 2015 and back aren't all that good xP
17- Do you get inspired by other skins sometimes?
~ Sometimes I might research other skins to see how to create an accessory or something when I don't know how to do it myself.
18- Why did you start making skins on pmc?
~ I'm actually not sure why, probably to either join friends or to be able to share my skjns with more people.
Thanks again to CreationDreams!
