Alot of people say to be who you are and I agree with that, but when it comes to the internet. . . you can be ANYONE as long as you know how to. Here is a quick tutorial on how to be someone your not. Enjoy!
HOW TO BE SOMEONE YOUR NOT

First of all, don't exaggerate too much on the beginning by saying, for example, that your the son of bill gates and you demand to be opped in the server. Obviously, they wont believe you. You have to be more realistic. A lot of people try this method; "I'm from Planet Minecraft and I'm here to inspect your server, please Opp me. This might work and by "might" I mean probably not. But if you still want to try, to increase your possibilities of the trick to work, first you have to get an idea of who you are talking to. Maybe ask a friend to go in with you and to start talking with the owner (or the person who might opp you) and figure out if he is gullible or not. If he is gullible, then you have an advantage.
If they aren't very gullible, try saying something different that is more believable. It might not get you opp, but it might gain you some respect. If you become close friends to the owner you might have more power and you might have him tricked.
FOR FUN
If you just want to pretend to be someone your not but for the sake of fun, you will probably just say something like: "Im spiderman." Just remember that if you do it constantly, people will start getting annoyed, so be carefull.
