Most of you probably already know how to install minecraft maps, but some don't. In this guide I'll show you how to install maps step by step.
Mac:
After you've downloaded the map you have to make sure that it is a folder and not a .zip file, if it is use The Unarchiver to extract it. Now that you have your map folder open finder and click go, hold the alt key and click library. You will have to find the "application support" folder and inside that the "minecraft" folder; move the map in another folder called "saves".
Windows
As on Mac the map has to be a folder and not a compressed file, to extract the file you can use the try version of WinRar. Now that the map is a folder click on the windows logo in the bottom left corner, search for run and open it; in it type %appdata%\.minecraft, in here there should be the saves folder, drag and drop the Map in it
