It was a rainy day when Dirt was watching the cows and pigs around him.He longed for a friend, and on that day of rain, Dirt found just that in a pig he named Dirty Piggles. Dirty Piggles loved Dirt, and jumped on him, licked him, and played with him all day. Dirt loved his newfound friend, and they became like brothers, playing with eachother day in and day out! One day, Dirt and DP were playing charades with eachother, when the most dreadful thing happened! A group of 3 humans attacked Their little paradise, killing every cow and pig they could find. Dirt tried to tell his friend to run, to hide, but Dirty Piggles refused to leave his friend. Then the leader of the humans came, saying to the other humans "ey look fellas, it's a little wee piggy here! Shall we harvest it's bacon?" Cried the bad-smelling human, heaving with laughter. Then as Dirt struggled to somehow stop them, to scream at them to leave DP alone, the bad-smelling leader stabbed Dirty Piggles, and the innocent pig let out one last squeal of terror.  Dirt was dumbfounded by his friends brutal murder, and if he had had a face, it would have drained of color. Dirt lay as he was for many hours, only thinking of his dear friends death. Then finally as night fell, Dirt escaped his stupor and gazed towards the heavens seeking some sign of hope. His gaze was answered by 1 majestic star, outshining all others with its light. On that star Dirt wished, wished that he could stop the death of another living creature from ever being killed as his friend had. He wished upon that star that he might be able to help helpless creatures of all kinds. And as Dirt finally drifted into slumber, the majestic star shined even brighter, and answered his wish as he slept.
